Many people ask us why we distribute Safari Snorkel and not the cheaper brands.

It has to do with a number of factors.

IMPORTANCE OF CLEAN AIR

1st as you have heard us say throughout our videos, clean air is vital to the life and performance of the engine. Water will hydraulic lock the engine and dust creates a sand paper effect when it mixes with grease.
Both cause expensive engine damage.

The best way to keep engine air intake clean is by regular filter changes and a good quality snorkel.

DESIGN

Knowing this, we then choose Safari Snorkels due to their designs that lead the world and the fact they are ingeniously made to remove the dust out of the air intake from the shape of the air ram.

In recent years Safari snorkels are also ‘design protected’, so the many copies in the market will find it more difficult to copy in the future.

COMPOSITION

Safari Snorkels are not only made in Australia but they are also made from a superior plastic composition.  This plastics ensures the snorkel is strong.  We have had a number of calls from people who have broken their copy snorkel when brushing past a tree.

CONSISTENT FIT

Due to the superior plastics, the shape of Safari Snorkels is consistent.  This is important to the fitter.  With their own templates, the snorkel can be fitted easily the first time and thus reducing expensive mechanical hours.

NOT GENUINE

A genuine “snorkel” is called ‘an elevated air intake’ by the manufacturers themselves.  This is because they are not water tight and thus the genuine warranty only covers a vehicle that has not gone in water deeper than the middle of the wheel.  This is no good for most off road applications so please be careful here.  Of course the LandCruiser 2 piece design shows how water would easily creep in.

WHY FIT A SNORKEL IF NOT TO PROTECT?

An Australian family company that lead the world, save you money on engine damage, are strong, reliable, allow you to cross a river safely and save you money on fitting costs.  Hard to image why you would fit a snorkel at all, if it was not a Safari.
