79 Series Handbrake Upgrade Kits

Terrain Tamer has developed a dedicated Handbrake Kit designed for Toyota LandCruiser 79 Series vehicles, providing the components required to overhaul and improve the factory handbrake system.

The kit includes radius-ground brake shoes, along with the springs, retainers, pins, pivots and other components required for a complete handbrake overhaul.

A key feature of the Terrain Tamer 79 Series Handbrake Kit is the modified dogbone strut. Slightly longer than the original unit fitted to the LandCruiser 79 Series, the strut is designed to provide a stronger hold while helping compensate for wear that can develop around pivot points, pull pins and related components over time.

Manufactured in Australia to Terrain Tamer tooling and OE manufacturing standards, the modified strut provides a practical upgrade for 79 Series vehicles where reliable handbrake performance is particularly important, including vehicles used in demanding or heavy-duty conditions.
